It was a hot day that June 30, 2002. I had not yet met her and already I was in trouble. It was 5 past 8 and I couldn’t locate her condo. When I called, all I got was that damn recording. Finally, she answered, “I thought you blew me off”. “I’m just 5 minutes late” I replied. “You were supposed to pick me up at 7:30” she countered. I looked up and there she was coming down the gentle slope of the condo’s lawn. Wearing a black dress and a smile that lit up the night -- she had an air of glowing inner-character. “Thank you God” I said to myself, breathing a sigh of relief. Al, the proprietor of Old Warsaw had set us up for this blind date. Al had set me up before, sometimes good, sometimes not so good; but tonight, all of a sudden Al became my best friend. As I handed her the flowers, I somehow had the feeling that I had known her my entire life. I immediately wanted to hug and kiss her. My mind was on fire. Thankfully, self restraint won out, so I kissed her on the cheek and introduced myself.
