Harold Eugene Vest, owner of Vest's Cabinet Shop was found dead in the restroom of his place of business at 805 East California Street , Gainesville , TX between midnight and 2 am on the morning of Friday, June 28, 1946.Information is being sought surrounding the suspicious circumstances of his death. While originally called a suicide, the DA of Cooke County has reclassified the case as a homicide. A reward of up to $100,000 is currently offered by Herb Vest for relevant information. Herb Vest has the sole discretion to determine the amount of the reward.
